Duty context

Supply the excise and VAT inputs the pricing engine needs for a destination.

Duty context

Fulfillers supply the duty/tax context for their locations. The pricing engine combines it with the destination to compute the landed cost. Wine2You does not hard-code rates — you declare them per location and they are applied on quote and order.

The duty_context

{
  "excise_scheme": "eu_wine_still",
  "excise_rate": 0.00,
  "vat_rate": 19.0,
  "currency": "EUR"
}
Field Notes
excise_scheme named scheme (e.g. EU wine, CH spirits, NO DDP)
excise_rate per-unit excise where applicable
vat_rate destination VAT percentage
currency currency of the declared rates

Precedence

When computing a quote, the engine resolves:

destination country → VAT / excise scheme
  →  fulfiller location duty_context  →  applicable rate
  →  landed cost = P_B2B + R_Recruiter + M_Curator + F_Platform + C_Freight + E_Excise + V_VAT

Cross-border cases (EU → Norway DDP, EU → CH) use the destination's scheme over the origin's.

Quote a landed cost

curl -X POST https://api.wine2you.shop/v1/orders/quote-calculate \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $W2Y_KEY" -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"wine_id":"win_...","quantity":6,"destination":{"country":"NO"},"origin_location_id":"loc_..."}'
